Greenworks Commercial, a leading battery-operated outdoor equipment manufacturer, was opening its first plant in North America. With all their focus on planning and executing the event, the internal team didn’t have the capacity to address media relations, an important tactic for publicizing the new plant.
After being impressed with VantagePoint’s work on previous media relations projects, Greenworks asked us to manage media relations for the grand opening event. VantagePoint researched both landscape industry publications and local media and developed a list of invitees for the ribbon cutting and celebration. VantagePoint worked with Greenworks’ internal team to write and distribute a press release about the event, coordinated tours, and arranged media meetings with Greenworks’ leadership team.
Five media attendees present at the ribbon cutting, and coverage of the event reached an estimated 28 million online and print audiences, with more than 30 mentions in North America. Greenworks continues to receive coverage from some of the biggest landscape publications to date along with promotional opportunities.
