Greenville, S.C. — October 27, 2016 — On the heels of Greenville’s continued recognition as a destination city, food industry leaders converged on Greenville this month for a conference on foodservice marketing organized and presented by VantagePoint Marketing.

VantagePoint, an eight-time BMA Carolinas Agency of the Year winner and one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina, hosted the inaugural Insight2Impact Foodservice Marketing Summit at the new RiverPlace Embassy Suites. The two-day event included speakers and panelists offering education and analysis on marketing within the business-to-business foodservice industry.

Among the event speakers were John Miller, CEO of Spartanburg-based Denny’s Restaurants, and Carl Sobocinski, owner of Greenville’s Table 301 family of restaurants. Also featured were Nancy Kruse, a well-known trends and menu analyst, and Mike Walpole, a Chick-fil-A executive.

“We were so excited to be able to gather these leaders from across the food industry in Greenville,” said Craig O’Neal, VantagePoint Marketing president. “Our little foodie town has been getting a lot of well-deserved attention, and we were proud to help show it off while providing our guests access to some of the best thinking in foodservice marketing.”

As part of the conference, guests also visited some of downtown’s dining and entertainment destinations that have brought Greenville renown in recent years, including Falls Park, Larkin’s on the River, Pour Taproom and The Lazy Goat.

Summit attendees included executives and managers from food-related businesses in seven states, including S&D Coffee and Tea, the nation’s largest custom coffee roaster; cooking equipment manufacturers Henny Penny, Antunes and Unified Brands; Wayne Farms, the country’s 6th largest chicken producer; and Travelers Rest-based plumbing equipment manufacturer T&S Brass.
